Dixon joined the Augmented Human Lab in the the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a Research Fellow. His research pursuit broadly encompass areas such as Information Systems and Human-computer Interaction, with specific interests in Game-based Learning, Gamification, Design Science and Recommender Systems. Dixon obtained his doctoral from Indian Institute of Technology - Madras (IIT - M).
